Therapeutic Services
Developmental Therapy
Special instruction is provided by professionals with extensive knowledge in regards to child development. UCP special instructors provide families with research based concepts and techniques on all areas of a child’s development.
The information, resources and hands on activities shared by UCP’s special instructors help families enhance learning opportunities for their child through daily activities.
Our special instructors specialize in cognitive (problem solving/thinking skills), skills for independence (dressing, feeding, choice making), and personal social development. They also work closely with Physical therapists, Occupational therapists, Speech Therapists , and other members of the team to further encourage growth in motor skills and communication and to aid families with the integration of input from various service providers into their child’s daily life.
Special instructors are knowledgeable of many community programs and resources. UCP providers also benefit from collaboration with teachers and therapists from other disciplines to provide holistic supports to children and their families.
