Residential Training

The Residential Training classroom at the UCP Canterbury Center features a fully accessible kitchen, living room and bedroom allowing UCP consumers to learn and practice the activities of daily living in a home-like setting.

Examples of skills taught include:

• grooming
• dressing
• self-feeding
• mobility
• transfers
• home management
• attendant/personal management
• food preparation

Self-awareness and communication skills are also emphasized.
