Growing Tree Learning Center I

Growing Tree Learning Center I is located at 27 Fisk Street in Jersey City. Growing Tree is an Abbott learning center that provides a developmentally appropriate early education for three year olds who reside in Jersey City.

The two story building is made up of 8 large classrooms with each class limited to 15 children. The children play on a state of the art accessible playground.

Each classroom is assigned a certified teacher and a teacher assistant. The teachers are certified in Pre-school through Third grade. The teacher assistants have a minimum of a CDA (Childhood Development Associate), while several of the teacher assistants are also pursuing college degrees in early childhood education. In addition, each classroom is assigned to a Family Worker who acts as a liaison between the families, community and the learning center. The Family Workers provide the parents with workshops and support. Throughout the year the staff attends staff development courses and various workshops.
