Taste of Madison Bartenders

Taste of Madison Bartender Information

United Cerebral Palsy provides nearly 800 volunteers to staff beer, soda and wine concession stands at the annual Taste of Madison festival, held this year on Saturday and Sunday, September 1 and 2, 2012.

Bartenders are needed to staff both beer and wine stands.

If you are interested in becoming a bartender, here is the procedure for securing your license from the City of Madison:

  1. As soon as possible, register for and complete a Beverage Server Training Course. Training is now available online, making it very convenient for your schedule. You do not need to sign up for a traditional class at MATC if you choose an online course.

  2. Upon completion of the course, download the City of Madison Operator License Application and Instructions in PDF format (scroll down to page 2 for Operator License information). Fill out the application and submit it, in person, to the Madison City Clerk, City-County Building Room 103. Please try to apply before June 30 to avoid an extra fee. Please note that the application form must be notarized. If you are looking for a notary, UCP has one on staff.

  3. Pay the $75.00 license fee to the City Clerk's office. (Please be aware that License fees have increased due to the city's shift from annual to bi-annual License renewals.)

  4. UCP will reimburse the license fee and the cost of the class, up to $32, with proof of age and receipts. Submit receipts and expenses to:

    Trisha Davies
    Development Director
