Youth Services

Our Youth Employment Services (YES) Program provides Exceptional Student Education youth with in-class employability skills and work-readiness training that allows them to successfully transition from school to work or post-secondary education.

We provide students with:

• In-school instruction in employability skills


• Orientation to the One Stop Career Center


• Supervised instruction in a real work setting


• Time-limited supportive services


• Youth development/mentoring experiences


• Access to a comprehensive job bank


• Individualized job search and placement


• An alternative to dropping out

Once employed, students may be eligible for a one-time stipend to assist them with work-related expenses.

The YES Program is a Workforce Development Program in partnership with One Stop Career Center, Volusia and Flagler County Schools and local employers.

Our Business Advisory Council (B.A.C.) builds alliances with local employers to expand the network of opportunities available to youth who complete the YES Program. We also serve as members of the Volusia and Flagler Community Transition Teams to remain focused on issues related to the transition needs of youth.

Since implementing the YES Program in 1999, we have served over 300 youth in Volusia and Flagler counties.
