History
UCP of Eastern Connecticut is a non-profit agency founded in 1947. We were originally founded to provide supports for children with cerebral palsy. We operated the "Little White Schoolhouse", a school for children with any disability, until 1992.
Today we offer adult day programs, residential programs, community outreach and referral, an adaptive toy library and advocacy for people with physical and/or developmental disabilities. Our staff is well trained, professional and committed to our Mission.
Our focus is on individualizing community based services to meet the needs and choices of the individual. Our expertise is in meeting the needs of people who may have medical challenges along with physical and/or developmental disabilities.
Our Board members, staff and, most importantly, the people receiving services, are available to answer questions and/or arrange visits. Please feel free to call for additional information.
