About UCP
United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia was founded in 1962 by a group of citizens in metro Atlanta. These pioneers had a vision of cradle-to-grave community-based supports to meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Nearly half a century later, UCP of Georgia stays true to our founders' purpose and its mission of supporting people in a Life Without Limits.
Since its founding, UCP of Georgia has grown into a comprehensive service organization offering a range of supports for people living with any developmental disability (not just those with cerebral palsy). The array of services includes engaging day supports for seniors, in-home supports, community living supports, after school care, and day supports.
Each service is designed to meet a person's unique preferences and skills. UCP of Georgia is uniquely qualified to offer people in Georgia with developmental disabilities a Life Without Limits because of this broad approach to community supports.
UCP of Georgia has been rated consistently as one of the top 25 charitable organizations in Georgia. It is also the largest non-profit providing community-based supports in Georgia.
To support our mission of offering a Life Without Limits to people with disabilities, UCP of Georgia relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations, and community groups to provide monetary and volunteer support. Please explore our web site, learn more about us, and consider joining us in supporting people with developmental disabilities in realizing Life Without Limits.
