Advocacy

United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater Indiana is committed to:

• ensuring and increasing the availability and accessibility of appropriate supports for Hoosiers with cerebral palsy and their families;
• protecting and ensuring the rights of Hoosiers with cerebral palsy; and
• assisting Hoosiers with cerebral palsy who have difficulty navigating the "service system."

In addition to individual advocacy, UCPAGI is involved at the state level as a representative on advisory councils dealing with issues from Medicaid and transportation to specialized foster care and education. Whether UCPAGI's involvement is to provide our clients with information or to use our influence and knowledge of the law to assist them, we are determined to use our skills to improve the quality of life for Hoosiers with cerebral palsy.
