History
UCP of Berkshire County was incorporated in May of 1961 as an affiliate of UCP Associations, Inc., and it maintains a local presence in Berkshire County that includes administrative offices and programs in both Pittsfield and North Adams.
In May, 2006, UCP celebrated 45 years of service in the Berkshires.
UCP has evolved from a family-based grass roots advocacy agency started in 1961 to the primary provider of assistive technology services in Berkshire County for people with disabilities. We provide assistance to over 1500 children, adults and families with support services both in our Pittsfield and North Adams offices as well as other specialized services not offered by any other disability agency in Berkshire County.
In 2003 UCP was able to purchase and renovate its current offices located at 208 West Street, Pittsfield, MA due to a very successful Capital Campaign.
