Mark your calendars for March 1, 2009. Plan to participate in or attend the 23rd Annual Heart of America Chili Challenge at the St. Joe Civic Arena. Plan to be sponsor, donate items for auction, be a vendor, or compete as a chili cook. All monies from the event help UCP of Northwest Missouri provide important services for area children and adults with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.

- Attend. On Sunday, March 2, follow the heat to the St. Joseph Civic Arena, 100 North 4th Street. Doors open to the public at 11 a.m. Taste testing begins at 2:30 p.m.
